are in the final push to retake our seat in Congress and the road is getting bumpy. As we read the papers and listen to talk shows we continually hear our people pleading that their candidates stay on message and stay above the fray of negative campaigns. We at the Jason Sager for Congress campaign hear you loud and clear and want to re-introduce you to our candidate and his positions on what is important during this historic election year…The Issues.
Jason Sager’s Republican political platform includes but is not limited to:
- Upholding the Constitution as it was originally written
- Stopping all new Federal Spending and balancing the budget – NO Bailouts
- Supporting Free Market Capitalism and reject Socialism
- Supporting the Freedom OF religion and not Freedom FROM it
- Enforcing ALL immigration laws by forcing the Executive Branch to do their job
- Rejecting all forms of Amnesty for illegal aliens including a path to citizenship
- Protecting America by being strong on defense and fully supporting our military
- Supporting an “America First” foreign policy and not supporting the U.N.
- Protecting the rights of our Veterans
- Putting people back to work by supporting the FairTax and a repeal of the 16th Amendment eliminating the Income Tax
- Protecting the rights of the unborn as Jason is Pro-Life and a devout Christian
- Supporting the rights of the parents to run their family as they see fit
- Supporting Americans’ right to keep and bear arms under the 2nd Amendment
- Supporting the idea that the States should control education – No Federal DOE
- Supporting Term Limits for Federal Representatives and Senators
- Supporting a plan that would audit all departments within the Federal Government including the Federal Reserve
- Jason firmly believes in the 10th Amendment and State’s rights
- Fixing Social Security and protecting current and future generations of Seniors
- Working diligently to repair the Republican form of government we were guaranteed in Article IV Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution over the course of his term in office
Jason Sager is not a politician and has never held political office. He is a 36 year old Navy Veteran, devoted husband to his beautiful wife Stephanie and proud father to his 4 year old son named Bobby. Jason and Stephanie are very proud that their son Bobby is also an 8th generation Floridian.

Defender of the Constitution and States Rights says Sager is the right choice.
Richard Ivan Mack, former Sheriff of Graham County, Arizona, endorsed Jason Sager for Congress late yesterday. Sheriff Mack, a long-time crusader for states rights, individual rights and restoring the Constitution as the supreme law of the land, stated, “Absolutely. Tell him to go ahead and use me as an endorsement.”
Jason said, “It is truly an honor to receive the endorsement from Sheriff Richard Mack as he is one of the people who I look to as a defender of the Constitution. When our own Sheriff Nugent was signing on to a petition to extend the Clinton assault weapons ban, Sheriff Richard Mack fought and won in the Supreme Court and refused to enforce that unconstitutional law in his own county. Sheriff Richard Mack knows how to take a stand against an out-of-control Government and so do I.”
Sheriff Mack firmly believes that the greatest risk facing this country is not terrorism, but the enemy within – our own federal government. He received national attention in 1994 when he filed a lawsuit challenging the Constitutionality of the Brady Bill. The Supreme Court ruled in Sheriff Mack’s favor in Printz v United States (521 U.S. 898, June 27, 1997).

The Irish-American Republicans, a 130-year-old coalition of Irish-Americans in the Republican Party, today announced their endorsement of Jason Sager for Congress in Florida’s 5th Congressional District.
“It is important that we prevent Ginny Brown-Waite’s hand picked candidate from continuing politics as usual in Washington. Jason Sager stands for sound Constitutional principles,” the group’s regional chairman Jim Bomford said in a news release.
“We are proud to endorse Mr. Sager, a Navy Veteran and Constitutional Conservative. Jason’s Irish heritage will go a long way towards helping him fight the Reid, Pelosi, Obama agenda and not embrace or compromise with their liberal plan,” added National Chairman Grant Lally.

On August 17, United Christians of Florida (PAC) endorsed Jason Sager for U.S. House of Representatives, District 5. United Christians of Florida was established in 1985 as one of the nation’s first Christian – Political Action Committees. The group follows the Biblical mandate to “Love our neighbors” by “serving our neighbors” and in doing so earns the right to assist them with critical election decisions.
Jason said, “I would like to thank the United Christians of Florida for their endorsement. We have run a campaign based on our faith in God and that He will provide. Ronald Reagan said, ‘Once we forget that we are one nation under God, we are a nation gone under.’ Our nation was built on Judeo-Christian principles and the longer we wait to elect people who will not put their faith to the side in order to lead, the closer we are to a nation gone under.” Read the rest of this entry »

Business and Community Leaders from South Lake Chamber of Commerce prefer Sager
Brooksville, FL, August 18, 2010 – The South Lake Chamber of Commerce held their “2010 Hob Nob” event last night. Over 500 voters from area attended the event in Clermont.
Jason Sager met with many voters at the event at the Heritage Hills clubhouse. He couldn’t stay for the entire event as there was a candidate forum for all the District 5 candidates later in the evening up in The Villages.
Turnout at the Hob Nob was very heavy, and they held a straw poll for all the local races, including the Congressional District 5 race. In the district 5 straw poll, Jason Sager was the winner.
When told of the straw poll results, Jason had this comment, “It is truly an honor to be the winner of this straw poll last night conducted by the business leaders of Lake County. I wish that I could have personally met everyone, but we had another forum to get to in The Villages. This is a very telling poll being that I had to leave so early and the vote was cast for the most part with only our Republican opponent in attendance. I look forward to working with all of these same business leaders in the future as their representative as we work together to remove the federal burden from our businesses allowing us to do the hard work to put our economy back on track.”
